My Coherent Nonsense

Gaining Fame From YouTube

YouTube will become the source of everybody’s fame one day. I can’t believe how big of a phenomenom it’s become in the past three years. Since then, there have been several “celebrities” who have emerged from their bedrooms and have come into the spotlight and media. To name a few:

1.) Esmee Denters: the Dutch girl who casually began recording videos of her singing in her bedroom and has now toured with Justin Timberlake, sung with OneRepublic and Natasha Beddingfield, appeared on Oprah and other talk shows. She’s ranked #2 on YouTube for Most Subscribed under the Musicians category and #8 of all time. I find that rather amazing.
2.) Kevjumba (his YouTube name): Know this guy? He’s the funny little Chinese highschooler (soon to be in college) that just started making comical videos of himself talking about random topics. Well, I guess they were so funny that he is now ranked #3 for Most Subscribed under the Comedians category and ranked #4 of all time. Haha, he beats Esmee Denters. I suggest you watch some of his videos. He’s quite the funny little fella.
3.) HappySlip (her YouTube name): Ah yes, another comedian/director. She started off doing the same thing as Kevjumba (comical videos of herself) but then began making them more professional. She’s even been in some of Kevjumba’s videos and is now the #2 Most Subscribed under the Directors category and #5 Most Subscribed of all time. She’s filipino and very funny.

There are a bunch more of upcoming stars on this new internet phenomenom, and I just find it so amazing how technology has advanced so much. Anyways, I’m posting a YouTube video below of this Korean guitarist who plays a rock version of the Canon in D. Prepare to be blown away, especially towards the end of the song when his fingers go ballistic on the guitar strings! This video has had over 40 million views…can you imagine?
